The amounts listed are by 1 second doses. This means that if for example it takes 40,000 to kill anthrax, and the device power output is 20,000, then it will take 2 seconds to kill. If the device power output is 40,000, then it would take 1 second. If the device power output is 80,000, then it would take 1/2 second to kill, etc.
