U.S. Navy Training School Salvage newsletter , the following additional
U.S. Navy Training School Salvage graduate crewmembers are listed as
being aboard the USS Diver at that time:

, A.E. Libbra and J. E. Weaver.
James J. McKeever also notes that the USS Diver was lucky to have Lt.
Fred Bierringer join the crew at Cherbourg. Another excellent diver
onboard was ?. Judge. Other crewmembers recalled by James J. McKeever
include Peters, Shubire, Calava, O'Keefe and Parks.

J. McKeever suited up after a dive on the Normandy
on March 10, 1943. The picture was taken on a float alongside the Normandy
by pier 88 in NYC. They were cutting up the superstructure in order to
lighten the ship , preparing to raise her.

"Waltzing Matilda" , a 1926 Essex with wooden wheels before
her paint job. Jim is scraping off the old paint and rust. Jim bought
the car for $25 from a man who had driven it from Oklahoma. After cleaning
and removing the grass that was growing on the engine, Jim had her running
smooth.
